The S&P 500 Growth Index measures the performance of the large-cap growth sector in the US equity market. All constituents are drawn from the S&P 500 Index (^SPX). It is a float-adjusted market cap index, which uses sales growth, the ratio of earnings change to price, and momentum to measure growth. Rebalancing occurs quarterly in March, June, September, and December. This index was launched on May 30th, 1992.
